About Gasty - Sydney Freelance Illustrator

Gaston Duflos, known as Gasty, is a Sydney freelance illustrator and artist who enjoys creating bold, playful work across many mediums. Originally from a small town in Argentina, he is now based in Sydney, drawing daily inspiration from animals, nature, sports, cartoons, city life and the energy of Australia’s outdoor lifestyle. His mixed-media style blends digital illustration with hand-drawn techniques, often using traditional materials like acrylics, gouache and ink, to create amazing artworks on paper, canvases, print and big murals.

Gasty has collaborated with clients such as Essilor Luxottica, OPSM, Sunglass Hut, Red Bull x Racing Bulls F1, Waverley Council, Trademutt and Centennial Real Estate. These projects have allowed him to explore a wide variety of creative fields, including commercial illustration, graphic design, fine art, mural painting and character design. Whether he’s painting a custom mural, producing a series of drawings, creating social media content, or designing visuals for a brand campaign, he approaches each project with the same focus: create something meaningful, colourful and memorable.
